LAKE COUNTY >> If you have a passion for playing football and are between the ages of 12-18, Lake County 7-on-7 is now forming a team for athletes who reside both inside and outside of the county.
Lake County 7-on-7 will compete out of county while holding weekly practices that open in January. You don’t need to live in Lake County to be a team member.
According to Lake County 7-on-7 head coach Hokulani Wickard, the team offers athletes a chance for players to showcase their talents and is open to all skill levels. You’ll be able to improve your game and make new friends while joining a community of passionate football players, according to Wickard.
The team needs at least 30 players. Your sign-up fee will cover uniforms and some tournament fees. There are also fundraising opportunities to help ease costs.
Wickard is a former three-sport standout at Lower Lake High School who went on to play college football at Shasta College and Ottawa University.
