Elius Mendoza added 83 yards and a TD while quarterback Josh King passed for 37 yards and ran for another 24 and a touchdown.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Noah Freeman caught four passes for 58 yards. Obie Knight and Julian Rascon both had conversion runs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOffensively, our boys did a great job moving the ball downfield,\u201d Westshore head coach Vince Rave said. \u201cIt was another great team effort, and a lot of the credit goes to our offensive line. Those boys had a great day up front, opening holes and giving our backs room to run.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Added Rave, \u201cOnce again we were able to spread the ball around and have a lot of different players contribute. That\u2019s something I\u2019m really proud of with this group. These boys continue to show up, compete and play for each other week in and week out.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Westshore (2-1) defensive leaders were Rascon with six total tackles, Rave with five total tackles and two interceptions, Knight with four tackles, Eagle McCloud with three total tackles, and Anthonee Lopez with a sack.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe had a lot of our boys rallying to the football and shutting their offense down,\u201d Rave said. \u201cEven when guys weren\u2019t making the tackle themselves, we had a lot of Cardinals making group tackles all game.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Willits (1-1) hosts Westshore on Saturday.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Raves rushes for two touchdowns, scores another on punt return Lake County Sports on Facebook LAKEPORT &gt;&gt; Westshore\u2019s junior varsity youth football team shut out the Cloverdale Chargers 32-0 on Saturday in Lakeport.
