The Blazers improved to 2-1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIt was a tough game,\u201d Lower Lake head coach Jay Jakubowski said. \u201cOur offense took a while to wake up. You can\u2019t win with a bunch of turnovers. We got a little frantic.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Shields went 12-for-30 for 181 yards on the night, connecting with Percoats on a 39-yard touchdown and Jordan Rohrbacker on a 13-yard TD strike, but he also threw four interceptions. Lower Lake also had a promising drive stall on a lost fumble in the first half as the Lancers built a 21-0 lead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe moved the ball, but we kept turning it over,\u201d Jakubowski said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Percoats caught three passes for 98 yards while Rohrbacker had five receptions for 41 yards. Raijhier McKneely added three catches for 27 yards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lower Lake rushed for 54 yards, 32 of those by Anthony Russell.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On defense, Abraham Mora forced a fumble that he recovered to end one Lindhurst drive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Blazers took a 27-8 lead into the fourth quarter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe have to get better,\u201d Jakubowski said. \u201cI have to do a better job pairing these guys. We got the first-game jitters out of the way. Hopefully we can get back on track and be ready for Fort Bragg.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lower Lake hits the road next Friday to play Fort Bragg (1-2) in North Central League I interlock action.
