Lily Day added seven service points and two kills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cEveryone got in to play today, and the girls did a great job working together,\u201d Middletown head coach Niki Emberson said. \u201cThis group has awesome chemistry and I\u2019m really excited for this season with them.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The B team won without its starting setter, who missed the match because of illness. Nevertheless, the Broncos nailed down the victory behind 18 service points, 11 aces and a kill from Madison Lewis, and eight service points and four aces from Abby Tribby.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe flu has hit our team, and we were down a starting setter today, and I\u2019m so impressed with the girls stepped in to fill that role,\u201d Emberson said. \u201cAll the girls got some playing time, and they looked good for their first game.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Added Emberson, \u201cWe are a young and inexperienced team, but they\u2019re scrappy and have the best attitude, so I\u2019m excited to see how much they\u2019ll grow this season.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Middletown\u2019s teams head to Ukiah on Monday to play Pomolita Middle School.
