Everyone on the team is a volleyball player now.”

Diego Rico led the Knights with 29 assists, George Cline had a team-best 16 digs, and Kolby Medina had eight kills and five digs in the win.

“The whole season we have run a 6-2 rotation with two setters,” White said. “Tonight, we ran a 5-1 rotation and had Diego Rico set all around. He was fantastic. It’s difficult to do something new sometimes, but the guys handled it pretty well, all things considered. We took control early in the first set, which gave me the opportunity to sub Manny Hernandez in for the first time in his career. He finished the first set with two kills. That was a great moment for him and the team.”

Other Kelseyville standouts were Sebastian Cacho with four kills, four digs and three aces, and Jose Mejia had nine digs.

“I moved Sebastian Cacho over to outside for the first time and he started very well,” White said. “He hit some bumps in the road in the second set, but figured it out and finished strong. Andon Beall was great in all aspects tonight. We didn’t have him swing as much tonight in anticipation of our match tomorrow, but it’s remarkable to take 24 swings and not have any errors.”

Kelseyville will honor its seniors Thursday against Technology. A win would clinch second place in the final league standings for the Knights.

“I’m excited to see our growth on full display,” White said. “We have nothing to lose, so I’m hoping we come out and put our best foot forward.”

KHS boys volleyball team to honor seniors at final home match Lake County Sports on Facebook SANTA ROSA >> Behind a perfect hitting night by Andon Beall – 13 kills, no hitting errors – the Kelseyville High School boys volleyball squad wrapped up its road schedule in North Central League I play with a 25-16, […]

[25,86,17
