The North Central League I softball game was called after six innings because of the 10-run rule.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It was Keithly\u2019s second two-homer game of the season. The junior third baseman now has a county-best five home runs, tying her for fourth place on the county\u2019s all-time list of single-season leaders. Rogers, who also walked three times, hit her first home run of the year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kelseyville (2-4 league, 3-9 overall) snapped a three-game losing streak behind the combined 10 RBIs of Keithly (2-for-3) and Rogers (1-for-1).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe had a great day at the plate,\u201d Kelseyville head coach Brittany Rumfelt said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jordyn Wurm (1-for-4) knocked in three runs for the Knights while Vanessa Reyes went 2-for-4 with a RBI.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Winning pitcher Madison Byrne worked the first 3 1\/3 innings, striking out six and walking four. AJ Wurm finished up. Byrne struck out six and walked four.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The game featured four home runs in all as Taylor Hawk (1-for-4) homered for Fort Bragg (1-6, 2-11).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kelseyville had a 10-7 lead going to the bottom of the fifth when it put the game away with a six-run uprising. The Knights added another run in the sixth, at which point the game was stopped.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Other Kelseyville leaders at the plate were Byrne (1-for-3), who had a double, Gabriella Keyes (1-for-3, RBI), Kat Wheelan (1-for-3, RBI) and AJ Wurm (0-for-1, 2 RBIs).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Weather permitting, Kelseyville is scheduled to host Lower Lake on Tuesday at 4 p.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In other NCL I softball action Friday:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Clear Lake 17, Middletown 7 (6 inn.)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At Lakeport, a nine-run bottom of the third inning fueled by multiple walks issued by Middletown pitching carried the Clear Lake Cardinals to a six-inning win over the Middletown Mustangs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Clear Lake (4-2, 11-4) took a 6-5 lead into the bottom of the third before breaking the game wide open. Middletown did most of the work, according to Clear Lake head coach Scott Schaefers, who said many of the 21 walks issued by Middletown came in the third. The Cardinals finished with only six hits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re still trying to find our groove (at the plate),\u201d Schaefers said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Amelie Davis went 2-for-3 with a double and triple and three RBIs for Clear Lake. She knocked in two runs with a hard-hit double off the fence and was thrown out trying to stretch it into another triple. Lindee Bingham (1-for-4) also had three RBIs while Cali Albaum (1-for-2) had two. Winning pitcher Atiana Patino (1-for-3, RBI) and Abbi Malley (1-for-4, RBI) had the other Clear Lake hits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAmelie Davis had a good day at the plate,\u201d Schaefers said. \u201cWe also made a few nice defensive plays, but we also made a few miscues that we need to clean up.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Patino worked all six innings for the Cardinals, allowing seven hits and five earned runs while striking out five and walking two.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sarah Fetters went 2-for-3 with two RBIs and two runs scored for Middletown and Ash Thompson went 2-for-3 with two RbIs. Taluelah Madrid, Bella Alcantar and losing pitcher Hannah Tribby had one hit each.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Weather permitting, Clear Lake hosts St. Helena on Tuesday while Middletown travels to Cloverdale. Both games start at 4 p.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>St. Helena 16, Upper Lake 2 (5 inn.)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At St. Helena, St. Helena moved into a flat-footed tie with idle Cloverdale atop the league standings with a five-inning victory over the Upper Lake Cougars.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>St. Helena (6-0, 9-5) had a 16-0 lead after three innings. Upper Lake (2-2, 4-3) scored single runs in the fourth and fifth innings before the game was stopped.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Winning pitcher Ada Blanton combined with Maycee Farrell on a four-hitter. Blanton allowed one run on two hits over the first four innings, striking out 10 and walking none.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Olivie Filippini and Ellie Carmichael both had two hits and two RBIs to spark St. Helena\u2019s offense.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kyra Santos went 1-for-2 with a RBI triple for Upper Lake.
