{"id":6180,"date":"2026-04-02T18:11:58","date_gmt":"2026-04-02T18:11:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/briansumptersports.com\/?p=6180"},"modified":"2026-04-02T18:11:58","modified_gmt":"2026-04-02T18:11:58","slug":"mountain-vista-mtown-win-co-ed-games","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/briansumptersports.com\/?p=6180","title":{"rendered":"Mountain Vista, M&#8217;town win co-ed games"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>Lalo Serrato powers Lancers, Xavier Yebra scores twice for Broncos<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lake County Sports on Facebook<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>LAKEPORT &gt;&gt; Building a 3-0 halftime lead, the Mountain Vista Middle School co-ed soccer team rolled past the Terrace Vikings 5-1 in league action Wednesday afternoon in Lakeport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lalo Serrato scored twice and assisted on another goal as Mountain Vista improved to 2-0 in league play and 7-3 overall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe were hoping he would get a hat trick,\u201d Mountain Vista head coach Oscar Lopez said of Serrato. \u201cHe did a good job.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Erik Gomez added a goal and an assist in the win. Bob White and Inteus Lopez scored Mountain Vista\u2019s first two goals. Anthony Arias had an assist.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lopez credited Arias and Inteus Lopez with strong play in the midfield.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe were on the attack most of the game,\u201d Lopez said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Trailing 5-0 in the second half, Terrace scored on a penalty kick to avoid the shutout.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mountain Vista takes next week off before returning to action Monday, April 13 at home against Middletown.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In other co-ed soccer action Wednesday:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Middletown 5, Obsidian 1<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At Middletown, Xavier Yebra scored twice while Andres Yebra, Sophia Perez and Anaya Kilstrom all had goals in Middletown\u2019s league win over the Obsidian Bears.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kilstrom and Isaac Delgado also had assists for Middletown (2-0, 3-0).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Obsidian scored first before Middletown answered with three straight goals to take a 3-1 halftime lead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Bears had a chance to cut into that halftime lead early in the second half after the Broncos were called for hand ball in the penalty area, setting up a penalty kick. Middletown keeper Ruben Rincon blocked the shot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Middletown is off next week for spring break.
