{"id":6114,"date":"2026-03-29T21:35:16","date_gmt":"2026-03-29T21:35:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/briansumptersports.com\/?p=6114"},"modified":"2026-03-29T21:35:16","modified_gmt":"2026-03-29T21:35:16","slug":"mhs-track-teams-shine-at-santa-rosa-meet","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/briansumptersports.com\/?p=6114","title":{"rendered":"MHS track teams shine at Santa Rosa meet"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>Hayden Xavier, Dylan Caviness, Isa Barnes all finish first at Prospector Gold Rush<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lake County Sports on Facebook<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>SANTA ROSA &gt;&gt; Even without a full squad in attendance, Middletown High School\u2019s track and field teams did quite well Saturday during the Prospector Gold Rush at Piner High School in Santa Rosa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe only took about half our team, but it was a successful meet,\u201d Middletown head coach Wyatt Hall said. \u201cMy team got to see some good competition.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In team scoring, Middletown\u2019s varsity boys placed sixth out of 18 teams, the varsity girls were eighth out of 18 teams, the junior varsity boys were eighth out of 18 teams, and the JV girls tied for seventh out of 14 teams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Varsity boys<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hayden Xavier won the 100 meters in 10.96 seconds while teammate Jamisen Jackson was seventh in 11.62.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cHayden Xavier and Jamisen Jackson both had successful days sprinting,\u201d Hall said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jackson and Xavier also ran on Middletown\u2019s winning Swedish relay team, which consists of legs of 100 meters (Jackson), 200 meters (Xavier), 300 meters (Ryan Henning) and 400 meters (Henry Ames).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAmes ran a great leg to hold off the Santa Rosa teams,\u201d Hall said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Middletown finished in 2 minutes, 8.23 seconds followed by Santa Rosa at 2:08.48.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cHenry Ames and Max Ames were transfers from Calistoga and this was their first meet for Middletown,\u201d Hall said. \u201cBoth of them set new personal bests in their individual events and I\u2019m excited to finally have them competing for the team.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dylan Caviness beat his personal best by two feet in the pole vault, clearing 11 feet, 6 sinches to finish third.
