Olivia Raabe and Grace Peterson played the first set for the Knights while Brooklyn Young and Gemma Tanti took over in set two.

“With the match in hand, we were able to mix things up a bit and play a couple of different pairings,” Dobusch said. “All four of our players had solid matches. Olivia Raabe’s serve stood out. Grace’s movement and play at the net earned praise from the opposing coach. Brooklyn served well and hit consistent groundstrokes, and Gemma extended numerous rallies with some incredible saves on shots that I thought were for sure winners.”

In first doubles, Kelseyville’s Riley Lopez and Riley Hanson defeated Yolanda Reyes and Andrew Cook 6-1, 6-0.

“I thought team Riley would be strong and I was not wrong,” Dobusch said. “It was cruise control the whole way.”

In singles action, Maddy Borghesani beat Caleb Gomez 6-1, 6-1.

“Caleb’s a strong player, but Maddy’s consistent ground strokes and strong serving never let him in the match,” Dobusch said. “Maybe her best serving day of the season. She was firing.”

Kelseyville’s Olivia Bushey defeated Jane Wood 6-1, 6-2 in second singles.

“She’s better and better each match,” Dobusch said of Bushey. “Liv’s turning into a well-balanced player. She’s quick and long and has a variety of shots. I thought Jane would be a tough matchup for her, but Liv got out quick and kept pushing. It was a nice win.”

In his first action of the season for Kelseyville, Jesse Barnett beat Owen Torlton 6-4, 6-3.

“Today he was quick, smart and played to win, not just crush every shot,” Dobusch said of Barnett. “I was happy how he managed his match.”

Kelseyville is now 4-2 in conference play.
