{"id":5191,"date":"2026-01-08T18:33:00","date_gmt":"2026-01-08T18:33:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/briansumptersports.com\/?p=5191"},"modified":"2026-01-08T18:33:00","modified_gmt":"2026-01-08T18:33:00","slug":"mountain-vista-obsidian-a-teams-notch-wins","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/briansumptersports.com\/?p=5191","title":{"rendered":"Mountain Vista, Obsidian A teams notch wins"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>Middletown B squad also nails down league win<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lake County Sports on Facebook<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>LAKEPORT &gt;&gt; Jodeci Meadows led the way with 12 points and teammate Mezzy Ellis added seven points to help the Mountain Vista A girls basketball team edge Terrace 31-28 in league action Wednesday evening in Lakeport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>\u201cThis was a tight game the entire way,\u201d Mountain Vista head coach Shaun Robinson said. \u201cUltimately, the Lancers held the lead through all four quarters.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mountain Vista held a 17-12 halftime lead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Aubrey Mullen and Samaya Ellis had five points apiece for Mountain Vista as the Lancers improved to 4-1 in league play and 9-4 overall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Terrace scoring was not reported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mountain Vista travels to Upper Lake on Monday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In other middle school girls basketball action Wednesday:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Obsidian 36, Middletown 34<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At Clearlake, avenging a one-point overtime loss to Middletown earlier this season, the Obsidian Bears A team beat the Broncos 36-34 behind 12 points from Analayah Beck and 10 more from Mariah Robinson.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cMiddletown is a great team and played their hearts out tonight,\u201d Obsidian head coach Claire Alderson said. \u201cThe A-team grade competition in our league this year is amazing. This group of girls is highly skilled. Every game is competitive and I never know who is going to win going into any of our league games.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Obsidian improved to 2-3 in league play with its win.
