{"id":4264,"date":"2025-10-09T18:52:13","date_gmt":"2025-10-09T18:52:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/briansumptersports.com\/?p=4264"},"modified":"2025-10-09T18:52:13","modified_gmt":"2025-10-09T18:52:13","slug":"fort-bragg-boys-st-helena-girls-win-meet","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/briansumptersports.com\/?p=4264","title":{"rendered":"Fort Bragg boys, St. Helena girls win meet"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>Quiet day for Lake County teams with Middletown a no-shot at Willits<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lake County Sports on Facebook<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>WILLITS &gt;&gt; Fort Bragg\u2019s boys and St. Helena\u2019s girls topped the field during North Central League I cross country action Wednesday on the 2.87-mile Brooktrails course in Willits where both Middletown teams were no-shows because the school has this week off for an intersession break.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe week off always throws us off,\u201d Middletown head coach Taylor Tiraterra said. \u201cI could only get like half my kids to commit to it, the others were traveling.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Boys<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Among the complete teams (at least five runners) scoring at the meet, Fort Bragg finished with 40 points, Willits had 47, St. Helena 58 and Cloverdale 69.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cole Lane of Willits topped the field in 16 minutes, 23 seconds, finishing well ahead of runner-up Johann Garcia of Fort Bragg (16:57). Walker Aycock of Fort Bragg was next at 17:19, and St. Helena\u2019s Charlie Watson (17:58) and Oly Dodd (18:05) rounded out the top five.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Marcus Guerrero of Cloverdale was sixth in 18:09, edging out teammate Gael Lopez (18:16).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Maverick Watson of Kelseyville was the top Lake County finisher in the field, placing 17<sup>th<\/sup> in 19:56. Slade Coltharp of Upper Lake was 20<sup>th<\/sup> in 20:18.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Thirty-eight runners competed in the boys field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Girls<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There were only two complete teams in the girls field, led by St. Helena with 15 points and Kelseyville with 46.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Corinna Schlatter of St. Helena won the race in 18:00. Malia McGrath of Cloverdale ran second in 20:54 and Cloverdale\u2019s Liz Silva was third in 21:48, Emily Olvera of Fort Bragg finished fourth in 22:03, and Cloverdale\u2019s Kylee Vlasak rounded out the top five in 24:01.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ellie Galvan of Upper Lake was the top Lake County finisher, placing 14<sup>th<\/sup> in 29:05.
