They added the two-point conversion to push in front 8-6.

Kelseyville had time enough for a final possession but couldn’t do anything with it. A fourth-down pass was intercepted before the Timberwolves ran out the final 49 seconds.

Fort Bragg (1-1, 1-3) had scored only six points in its first three games, but the eight they scored against Kelseyville was enough to spoil the Knights’ league opener.

Kelseyville lost senior running back Michael DeJohn, who rushed for 50 yards, to an injury during the game. Quarterback Max Lee led the team with 56 yards on the ground and was 7-for-18 passing for 62 yards.

Adrian Garcia anchored the defense with 13 total tackles, including six solo stops. Pivniska and Angel Ruiz finished six tackles apiece, Ethan Wheeler had five and a fumble recovery, and Lucas Anderson-Reyes had four, including a sack.

Kelseyville is 0-0-1 in league and 0-1-1 overall.

Kelseyville’s teams host St. Helena next Friday.
