The Lancers are the No. 3-seeded team and meet No. 6 Lucerne in a first-round game.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While Byrne was swinging the bat well against Washington as was Carly Gleason (2-for-3, RBI), most of the Mountain Vista batters struggled at the plate, according to head coach Patrick Mick.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOur bats were flat today against their hard-throwing pitcher, who pitched great today,\u201d Mick said. \u201cOnly four Mountain Vista players got hits.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kiera Mick (1-for-3, RBI) and Gabby Keyes (1-for-3) had the other hits for the Lancers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Byrne was the losing pitcher.
