Borghesani is the No. 3 seed in girls singles, Hopkins is the No. 4 seed in boys singles, and Raabe-Hanson are the No. 4-seeded team in girls doubles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Boys singles<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hoskins defeated Ryan Taylor of Kelseyville 6-4, 6-0 in the quarterfinals after an 8-2 win over Wyatt Hendricks of Christian Academy in the opening round.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWill really played well as the day went on,\u201d Middletown head coach Tony Hart said. \u201cHe controlled points and had his cross-court winner working flawlessly.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Middletown\u2019s Harrison Brown also won his first match, beating Damian Eligio of Anderson Valley 8-2, but Brown ran into No. 1 seed Alex Sae of Sonoma Academy, falling 6-0, 6-0 in the quarterfinals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIt was good for Harrison to bounce back from his loss against Eligio (earlier in the week in a conference match),\u201d Hart said. \u201cHe is only a sophomore he is excited about continuing to improve.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Girls singles<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Borghesani advanced into the semifinals with a 6-0, 6-0 win over Kalia Ignatriva of Technology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cMaddy has a rematch (in the semifinals) against an opponent from Sonoma Academy to whom she lost in the finals last year,\u201d Kelseyville head coach Andy Dobusch said. \u201cThere\u2019s going to be some great, high-level tennis tomorrow.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Girls doubles<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kelseyville\u2019s Raabe and Hanson beat Rileigh O\u2019Malley and Sheridan O\u2019Malley of Victory Christian 6-2, 6-1 in the quarterfinals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Boys doubles<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Middletown\u2019s Leland Pike and Anthony Lopez, the No. 4-seeded team, received a forfeit in the first round before losing to the No. 2-seeded team of Gan Dunnington and Renzo Ganso of St. Helena, 6-0, 6-3.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cNot having a warmup match and sitting around for five hours left them a little slow to start, but they managed to get a few games in the second set that they can build their confidence on for next year,\u201d Hart said.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Kelseyville girls doubles team also reaches semifinals at CMC Championships Lake County Sports on Facebook ROHNERT PARK &gt;&gt; Middletown\u2019s Will Hoskins and Kelseyville\u2019s Maddy Borghesani advanced to the semifinal round in singles during the opening rounds of the Coastal Mountain Conference Tennis Championships Friday at Magnolia Park in Rohnert Park.
