{"id":3076,"date":"2025-04-21T22:52:35","date_gmt":"2025-04-21T22:52:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/briansumptersports.com\/?p=3076"},"modified":"2025-04-21T22:52:35","modified_gmt":"2025-04-21T22:52:35","slug":"kelseyville-jvs-win-battle-of-undefeated","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/briansumptersports.com\/?p=3076","title":{"rendered":"Kelseyville JVs win battle of undefeated"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>Deake Lyndall goes 4-for-4, scores four times in Knights&#8217; 6-4 league road victory<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lake County Sports on Facebook<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>FORT BRAGG &gt;&gt; Both teams came into play with undefeated North Central League I records, but it was the Kelseyville Knights who emerged with a hard-fought 6-4 victory in junior varsity baseball action Friday in Fort Bragg.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kelseyville (5-0 league, 7-1 overall) scored twice in the top of the sixth inning to snap a 4-4 tie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe had left bases loaded and at least two runners on in three of the innings,\u201d Kelseyville head coach Sean Navarro said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Deake Lyndall came through in a big way for the Knights, going 4-for-4 and reaching base in all five of his plate appearances. He also scored four times.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cHe had that winning-and-never-give-up attitude,\u201d Navarro said. \u201cThere were so many things he did in this game to help us win.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Reese Johnson worked five innings for the victory while Carson Stone pitched two scoreless innings in relief to notch the save.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cCarson did a great job closing out the game,\u201d Navarro said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Case Pivniska went 2-for-2 and walked twice in the win.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cFort Bragg is a very good and well-coached team,\u201d Navarro said. \u201cThey were very tough and hit the ball around good.
