{"id":2776,"date":"2025-03-28T15:25:56","date_gmt":"2025-03-28T15:25:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/briansumptersports.com\/?p=2776"},"modified":"2025-03-28T15:25:56","modified_gmt":"2025-03-28T15:25:56","slug":"moore-harman-lead-county-golf-squads","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/briansumptersports.com\/?p=2776","title":{"rendered":"Moore, Harman lead county golf squads"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>Coastal Mountain Conference South teams tee it up at Sugarloaf in Santa Rosa<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lake County Sports on Facebook<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>SANTA ROSA &gt;&gt; Middletown High School\u2019s Bodhi Moore fired a 6-over-par 69 to lead the Coastal Mountain Conference South field Thursday at the par-63 Sugarloaf Golf Course in Santa Rosa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Moore\u2019s round was 12 shots better than the next lowest score in the field, which was a three-way tie between St. Helena\u2019s Jack Robinson, Russell Wilms and Burley Weeman, all with 81. Lele Hanna of St. Helena and Mason Harmon of Kelseyville carded 82s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>St. Helena dominated team scoring with 325 (the combined four low individual rounds). Technology and Middletown tied at 356, but the fifth-man tiebreaker went to Technology. Kelseyville was just a stroke back at 357 while Sonoma Academy had 365.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>By finishing ahead of Sonoma Academy in the team standings, Kelseyville posted its first head-to-head conference win since 2021. Once a CMC South powerhouse under longtime head coach John Berry, the Knights have struggled in recent seasons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Second-year Kelseyville head coach Tim Conrad was pleased with his team\u2019s effort, but especially with Harmon\u2019s round that included seven pars and a birdie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe had a few really nice rounds out of freshman Mason Harmon and senior Caleb Lopez,\u201d Conrad said. \u201cMason shot really well and had a consistent round. Caleb had five pars. Sugarloaf is a tight course and not super long. We talked about keeping the ball in play. For the most part we did a much better job at that this time out.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Added Conrad of his mostly young team\u2019s improvement, \u201cWe are making improvement and looking for more as the weeks progress.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After Harmon\u2019s team-leading 82, Lopez finished with 88, Nate Sherman 93, Adam Astrup 94 and Ethan Gambill 98.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For Middletown, the two-time defending South champion, Grant Sisson had 93, Grant McMillian 95 and Jimmy Reynolds 99.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Team leaders for Technology were Dilyan Lopez with 83 and Ollie Berger with 89.
