Winning pitcher Brooklyn Woods went the distance, scattering five hits, striking out four and walking three.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Leading 11-5, Middletown scored three runs in the bottom of the fifth and another run in the six to bring an early end to the game as the 10-run mercy rule was invoked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Six different Mustangs finished one hit each. Jaylee Doris (1-for-3) and Taylor Thompson (1-for-4) both had two RBIs. Wood, Sarah Fetters, Leahmya James West and Tallulah Madrid also had hits. Ally Cherry walked three times and scored twice. Madrid scored three times.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Middletown hosts Technology High School of Rohnert Park on Tuesday and remains home Friday to take on Justin-Siena of Napa.
