We played good defense and attacked the boards good. We played great team ball.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jerod Rosales led the way with 12 points and Connor Vogel added a double-double of 11 points and 11 rebounds as Upper Lake improved to 4-8 in league play and 7-11 overall. Landen Robinson and Wyatt Hallman had nine points apiece, on all 3-pointers, while James Beaux Stiritz had eight points.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAnother tough and disappointing loss for our team,\u201d Lower Lake head coach Tony Farrington said as the Trojans dropped to 0-12 in league and 2-22 overall. \u201cThe Cougars scored seven 3-pointers against us, and I believe that this is the most scored against us for the whole year.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Luke Campbell led the Trojans with 13 points, Noah Hakala added 10 and Brody Shields had seven.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cUnfortunately, we struggled to run our offense, grab boards, keep our hands up on defense, and close out on perimeter shots,\u201d Farrington said. \u201cAt this stage in the season, I know that while our players see the improvement in their overall game, they are mentally worn down with no recent wins, and that has taken a toll and was evident tonight.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Upper Lake hosts Middletown on Tuesday while Lower Lake hosts Clear Lake.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>JV game<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Upper Lake won a hard-fought junior varsity game 60-51, half of the Cougars\u2019 points coming from one player as TJ Malicay scored 30. Shaun Way added 12 more and Antario Wyman had seven.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIt was a good win,\u201d Upper Lake head coach Lupeli Faleagafulu said. \u201cWe got into a good rhythm on offense early and that\u2019s what kept us ahead throughout the game. Lower Lake battled back, and it was an intense, exciting game, but our defense in the end helped get us the win.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Added Faleagaful, \u201cTJ was big for us offensively and defensively.
