{"id":1639,"date":"2024-12-11T20:01:30","date_gmt":"2024-12-11T20:01:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/briansumptersports.com\/?p=1639"},"modified":"2024-12-11T20:01:52","modified_gmt":"2024-12-11T20:01:52","slug":"core-wrestlers-hooten-heywood-place-first","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/briansumptersports.com\/?p=1639","title":{"rendered":"CORE wrestlers Hooten, Heywood place first"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>Team brings home four medals from Bulldawg Bash in Folsom<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lake County Sports on Facebook<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>FOLSOM &gt;&gt; The CORE Wrestling Club sent six wrestlers to the Bulldawg Bash on Sunday in Folsom and four came away with medals, including firsts by Wyatt Hooten in the 10-and-under, 63-65-pound division, and Tucker Heywood in the 12-and-under, 80-85-pound division.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe have work to do, but not bad for bringing two gold medals home from the Bulldawg Bash,\u201d coach Danny Cuellar said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hooten went 3-0, winning two matches by technical fall and another by pin, scoring 19 team points. \u00a0Heywood went 4-0, winning two matches by pin, another by major decision and one by 3-0 decision.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Eric Holley finished second in the 8-and-under 45-46-pound division, going 2-1 with wins by fall and technical fall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Alexsis Castellano placed third in the middle school Tournament of Champions qualifier at 205 pounds.
