{"id":1331,"date":"2024-10-29T14:41:42","date_gmt":"2024-10-29T14:41:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/briansumptersports.com\/?p=1331"},"modified":"2024-10-29T14:44:31","modified_gmt":"2024-10-29T14:44:31","slug":"westshore-pee-wees-advance-with-7-0-win","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/briansumptersports.com\/?p=1331","title":{"rendered":"Westshore pee wees advance with 7-0 win"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>Cardinals to meet Lower Lake in championship game Saturday at Upper Lake High School<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lake County Sports on Facebook<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>SONOMA &gt;&gt; No. 1 seed Westshore punched its ticket to the Mendo-Lake Empire Junior Football League pee wee championship game with a 7-0 victory over Fort Bragg during a semifinal-round playoff game at Sonoma.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Cardinals (9-0) go up against Lower Lake (8-1) this coming Saturday at Upper Lake High School with a 3:30 p.m. kickoff. Lower Lake, the No. 2 seed, beat No. 3 Willits 19-6 in the other semifinal at Cloverdale High School.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIt was definitely an exciting win,\u201d Westshore head coach Vince Rave said. \u201cIt was a tough battle, but our boys pulled through and fought hard to get the win.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Running back Vincent Rave scored the game\u2019s only touchdown while rushing for 109 yards. Chance Poland ran in the conversion. Rave also anchored the defense with six total tackles and a forced fumble. Poland added five tackles, an interception and a pass defended. Adrian Wright and Tanner Black had five tackles each. Black also recovered a fumble.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIt was another defensive game,\u201d Rave said. \u201cWestshore played fast and aggressive football. We\u2019re excited for the championship.
