{"id":1286,"date":"2024-10-24T23:59:59","date_gmt":"2024-10-24T23:59:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/briansumptersports.com\/?p=1286"},"modified":"2024-10-24T23:59:59","modified_gmt":"2024-10-24T23:59:59","slug":"mtown-honors-seniors-wins-races","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/briansumptersports.com\/?p=1286","title":{"rendered":"M&#8217;town honors seniors, wins races"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>Cross country team hosts meet at Six Sigma Ranch and Winery course<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lake County Sports on Facebook<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>LOWER LAKE &gt;&gt; Middletown High School honored its seniors \u2013 11 of them in all \u2013 during its one and only home meet of the 2024 cross country season on Wednesday afternoon on the 5-kilometer-long &nbsp;Six Sigma Ranch and Winery course near Lower Lake.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Middletown\u2019s seniors are Caterina Barriga, Jennifer Jimenez and Krystal Ocken among the girls and Aiden Cadwallader, Richard Ramos, Caden Gotz, Zacai Chavez, Ryan Sanchez, Isaac Lozada, Marlin Martin Del Campo and Quinn Murray among the boys.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Both Middletown teams also had a big day on the course \u2013 the boys and girls both dominating the other North Central League I teams. In the boys field, Middletown finished with 32 points, Kelseyville was the next closest with 71, Willits came in third with 77, St. Helena had 85, Fort Bragg 94 and Lower Lake 167. In the girls field where only three teams were complete (minimum of five runners), Middletown edged out St. Helena 32-37 while Kelseyville was &nbsp;third with 58.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Boys<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cole Lane of Willits (18 minutes, 8 seconds) won by a comfortable 37-second margin over Middletown\u2019s Murray (18:45) while Middletown\u2019s Ren Ueno (18:51) and Cloverdale\u2019s Gael Lopez (18:56) also cracked 19 minutes. Charles Watson of St. Helena rounded out the top five at 19:17, followed closely by Bryan Garcia Ramirez of Cloverdale (19:19), Joshua Fossa of Kelseyville (19:21), Isael Haro of Middletown (19:23), and Jacob Parker of Kelseyville (19:28). Chris Island of Fort Bragg was 10<sup>th<\/sup> in 19:44.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Other top finishers included Middletown\u2019s Logan Ramos (19:55) and Sanchez (20:22), the 12<sup>th<\/sup>&#8211; and 13<sup>th<\/sup>-place runners; Salvador Ramirez of Kelseyville, 14<sup>th<\/sup> in 20:04: Landon Pisaro of Middletown, 15<sup>th<\/sup> in 20:21; and Gotz and Lozada of Middletown, 15<sup>th<\/sup> and 16<sup>th<\/sup> in 20:36 and 20:42, respectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Girls<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Corinna Schlatter of St. Helena once again ran away from the girls field with a winning time of 19:08, well ahead of runner-up Elizabeth Silva of Cloverdale at 20:53. Tilly Dodd of St. Helena was third in 21:48 while Malia McGrath of Cloverdale came in fourth in 22:16.
